Introduction

Hello friends! Today, I have the Okla Omo electric scooter, and in this article, we’ll be doing a post-mortem review to explore its features and functions. Let’s first take a look at the basic specifications of this electric scooter before diving into the review.


Battery Pack

The Okla Omo uses Chilvy Brand’s lead-acid-based graphene batteries. The scooter comes with six batteries that have a total voltage of 72V and 32Ah, providing a backup capacity of 2.304 kWh. The electricity consumption is 2.5 units, and it uses a 5A charger, with a charging time of approximately 8 hours. The battery offers around 800 to 1000 charging cycles. A single battery weighs 9kg, and the complete pack weighs 54kg. The cost of a single battery is around 10,000, while the entire battery pack costs 60,000, with an 18-month warranty.


Motor

The scooter is powered by a Jin Using Brand 2000W motor, with a peak power of 3600W. It uses BLDC technology and comes with a hub-mounted motor. The top speed of the Okla Omo is 60 km/h, and it offers a maximum range of 100 km. It comes with 10-inch tires and also features a side sensor and reverse assist. A tailbox option is also available.

Key Mechanism of Okla Omo

The key mechanism of the Okla Omo is unique and distinctive. It features a cover at the entry point that needs to be moved aside before inserting the key. After inserting the key, a beautiful display activates, indicating the scooter is powered on. Additionally, the seat and handlebar can be locked for safety purposes.

Storage of Okla Omo

Under the seat, you will find ample storage space for essentials such as chargers. The compartment can hold small items, and the seat lock mechanism is quite smooth and secure.


Display & Buttons of Okla Omo

The Okla Omo has a digital display where you can see the mode, speed, and other key indicators. The scooter features a parking mode, headlight control, reverse assist button, and emergency mode. The high/low beam buttons are very responsive, and the reverse assist feature allows you to move backward at speeds of around 4 km/h.


Speed & Modes of Okla Omo

The scooter has three modes:

  • Mode 1 (Slow Mode): Speed of 25 km/h
  • Mode 2 (Medium Mode): Speed of 38-40 km/h
  • Mode 3 (Fast Mode): Speed of up to 60-65 km/h

The scooter offers excellent acceleration in higher modes and the parking mode adds a layer of security.
